As the Northern Temperate Zone welcomes the first day of Spring, the Abbas family has begun their first planting season. The children are excited to help welcome new seedlings and prepare the land for sukuma wiki and cowpeas. It's essential to involve them in these processes, as the people of Kenya rely heavily on the land for their food. The children helped clear the land and steer the oxen as they plow.
